Welcome to Cuvac USA

A new national dog club for owners and admirers of the the Slovenský Čuvač in the USA. Our goals are simple. We want to connect owners, future owners and everyone interested in this breed and provide them with information and resources, while building friendships and offering support for those of us who share a passion for the Čuvač. We want to protect, preserve and actively promote the breed in America. Join us!

If you are looking for information on the Slovenský Čuvač or are planning on bringing a Čuvač into your life, this is the place to start. Our member breeders have agreed to follow our Code of Ethics which include standards for health and responsible breeding practices. We can also help you find a Čuvač puppy to import from a reputable breeder overseas.

If you already own a Slovenský Čuvač, we are here to support our members and create opportunities to learn and network with others.

We are looking for club members and volunteers to help make our goals a reality. Serve on the Cuvac USA board of directors. Start regional and state Čuvač groups. Help promote the breed on social media to increase the public’s knowledge and appreciation of the Slovenský Čuvač.  

Cuvac USA  is working towards full recognition of the Čuvač by the American Kennel Club (AKC).  The Slovenský Čuvač is already recognized internationally with the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI). AKC recognition will provide additional opportunities for breeders and owners in America.
